1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to websites, products and services provided by Maxtempo Ltd (company number 17145700), including Career Elevator. Where we ask you to actively accept these terms or a product-specific notice, selecting the relevant button, checkbox or other affirmative control records your agreement. Any additional terms clearly presented for a specific product, trial or subscription also apply.
2. Career Elevator
Career Elevator is an AI-powered career-support service intended to help professionals understand their experience, evaluate opportunities and prepare application materials. It supports your decision-making; it does not make employment decisions on your behalf.
3. Not an employment agency
Career Elevator is not an employment agency. Maxtempo does not introduce candidates to employers, place candidates with employers, or otherwise act as a recruitment intermediary between you and any employer.
Any fees you pay for Career Elevator (including any subscription) are for career advice, coaching and materials — for example audits, Career Vault tools, and help preparing application materials. Those fees are not charged for finding, securing or guaranteeing a job, interview or offer.
Where Career Elevator provides role or sector guidance, that guidance is about types of roles and sectors only. We do not match you to specific job vacancies, submit applications to employers on your behalf, or negotiate employment terms with employers for you.
4. No guarantee of employment outcomes
We work to provide useful, personalised support, but Maxtempo cannot guarantee interviews, offers, employment, promotion, salary outcomes or the accuracy or availability of third-party vacancies. Recruitment and employment decisions remain with employers and other third parties.
5. AI outputs and your responsibility
AI-generated outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate or contain unsuitable suggestions. Career Elevator provides career-support information, not a guarantee of outcome or legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing and approving documents, statements and decisions before relying on them or sending them to employers, recruiters or other third parties.
You must not knowingly ask Maxtempo to fabricate qualifications, employment history, achievements or other material facts.
6. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information, keep login credentials secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by Maxtempo's failure to use reasonable security measures.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Maxtempo to break the law, infringe another person's rights, introduce malicious code, interfere with service security or availability, scrape or reverse engineer protected parts of the service, impersonate others, or use the service in a way that could harm Maxtempo, its users or third parties.
8. Information and content you provide
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Maxtempo the limited rights needed to host, process, transform and use that content to provide, secure and improve the services you request. You confirm that you have the right to provide that content to us.
9. Maxtempo intellectual property
Maxtempo's software, branding, product design, website content and underlying systems are owned by or licensed to Maxtempo Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Maxtempo intellectual property to you.
10. Beta services
Where a product is offered as a beta, preview or trial, features may change, be incomplete or occasionally unavailable. We may ask for feedback and may make changes needed to test, secure or improve the service. Any specific beta offer presented to you will apply alongside these terms.
11. Paid services
If you purchase a paid Maxtempo service, the price, billing frequency, any recurring or renewal basis, trial or promotional period, cancellation process and material payment terms will be shown before purchase. Where affirmative subscription consent is required, we will record it and provide the applicable confirmation information. Statutory consumer rights, including any mandatory cancellation, refund or consumer-guarantee rights, are not excluded or restricted.
12. Third-party services
Maxtempo may connect to or rely on third-party services, including job-data sources, payment providers, AI providers and social platforms. Their own terms and availability may apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
13. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of a service where reasonably necessary. We will aim to avoid unnecessary disruption and, for material changes to a paid service, provide notice where reasonably practicable.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, statutory rights or consumer guarantees that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to that, Maxtempo is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by third-party decisions or services outside our reasonable control, or loss arising from information you knew or should reasonably have known was inaccurate. For a paid service, where applicable law permits a financial cap, Maxtempo's aggregate liability arising from that paid service will not exceed the total fees you paid for that service in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. This financial cap does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited. Any limitation will be applied only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Ending use
You may stop using Maxtempo at any time, subject to any applicable subscription terms. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment or serious/repeated breach of these terms.
16. Privacy and data deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Data-deletion instructions are available at https://maxtempo.com/data-deletion.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without limiting any mandatory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
